With the Coronavirus pandemic, we are seeing many examples of positive action from community groups and volunteers who are playing a crucial role in supporting adults who are in a position of vulnerability and are at risk of abuse and neglect.
With that in mind, if you are volunteering, it is important that you ensure you have an appropriate level of knowledge and awareness about safeguarding adults issues. This includes your responsibilities as a volunteer, how to identify signs of abuse or neglect and how to respond appropriately and who to contact when reporting a safeguarding concern.
