Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of local carers? Due to service growth, Care for the Carers is seeking to recruit two skilled Carer Support Workers to join its frontline team supporting unpaid carers in East Sussex. One full-time role – 37 hours – and one part-time role – 25 hours – are available.

Fixed term contract until 31st March 2021, with the possibility of extension.

Our Carer Support Workers provide one-to-one support to carers, facilitating carers groups, and undertake joint work with our partners in the NHS, Adult Social Care and the voluntary sector.

The successful applicant will be a skilled communicator with excellent IT and organisational skills. The ability to gain and maintain carers’ confidence is essential, as is an understanding of carers’ needs and rights. Due to Covid-19, the work will be undertaken remotely, with contact with carers, colleagues and partners being undertaken by phone and online for the period of the fixed term contract. Both posts are subject to a DBS check.
