Chalk Life Ranger

Railway Land Wildlife Trust

Full-time

25667 (Paid)

Part of the Changing Chalk project, Creating Connections (Lewes and Eastbourne) aims to actively engage and educate communities that neighbour the eastern Downland in understanding and caring for the nature and heritage of the land. The Chalk Life Ranger will establish greater links with marginalised groups and community facing organisations, building trust and providing a range of opportunities for participation.

We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team based at the Linklater Pavilion on the Railway Land in Lewes. Applicants need experience of working with diverse groups of people on projects that focus on the natural world, and in providing different ways for people to get involved, including not only practical conservation but also art, close observation, outdoor learning and community led projects.

The role is full time, 35 hours per week, for a 4 year fixed term contract.
