East Sussex Community Voice
Full-time
£25,437.00 per annum plus 6% pension (Paid)
East Sussex Community Voice (ESCV) is seeking a high energy community engagement officer to drive forward our engagement strategy – ‘Meeting People Where They Are’ Do you excel at engaging with people, on the street, at events or online? We are seeking someone able to gather view and experiences from residents on East Sussex on the issues that affect their lives. This ranges from children to older people, members of the public to professionals, people in the town or the countryside.
Working closely with our staff and volunteers, you will:
• gather views and experiences from diverse people and communities across East Sussex.
• support our experienced volunteers to deliver our busy outreach programmes.
• develop and maintain strong partnerships with service providers and help us raise the profile of Healthwatch East Sussex; and
• develop and deliver strong and accessible messages that inform and support change on a range of issues such as health, care, young people and housing.
As part of a small but growing organisation, you will be involved in many aspects of our evolving and rewarding work. The ability to pick-up new skills and approaches, adapt and find pragmatic solutions is essential to the role.
Established in 2013, ESCV is a Community Interest Company. Our vision is for ‘People centred public services in East Sussex; where all members of the public are empowered to have a say in service, design, and delivery of public services’.
We deliver Healthwatch East Sussex, the EU-funded ‘it takes a Village to Raise A Child’ (VRAC) project, and a number of other initiatives in East Sussex.
“East Sussex Community Voice is an Equal Opportunities and Diversity employer and welcomes candidates from all sections of the community.”
