Sussex Interpreting Services is a social enterprise and registered charity based in Brighton.

We work in partnership with the NHS, local authorities and other public and third sector organisations to ensure people with language support needs have full access to publicly funded services.

We help approximately 4500 people in Brighton and Hove, East Sussex and West Sussex, and deliver Community Interpreting, Translation, Advocacy, Social Prescribing, Befriending, Health Promotion and Community Engagement. We have an opportunity for a talented individual to join our staff team as a Projects Coordinator.

Project Coordinator (part-time 0.6 FTE)
1 year fixed term – 21 hours per week
NJC Scale 5
£13,310 actual salary p/a (£22,183 p/a pro rata)
You will work in the projects team, alongside another Projects Coordinator, on day-to-day coordination of SIS projects. You will support development and operational delivery and lead community outreach and engagement. SIS projects include Social Prescribing, Health Promotion, Community Research, Community Advocacy, Befriending and Community Engagement.

We are looking for an outgoing and friendly individual with excellent communication skills who is able to work flexibly within a team, manage competing priorities and use their initiative to anticipate and solve problems.

Note: All new employees are appointed to the bottom of the salary scale range applicable to the post.
