Are you an analytic thinker passionate about tackling health inequalities?
Sussex NHS Commissioners are recruiting to a new role with the potential to make a positive impact on health inequalities in the Sussex area.
Working with local health and care organisations in the Sussex Health and Care Partnership, the Senior Equality Assessment Manager will play a leading role in applying equality analysis to health and care programmes across public health, primary, secondary, and acute health and care services.
We are looking for someone with the ability to undertake equality and health inequality impact assessments; work with complex data sets and collate and present information to support improvements in health outcomes for protected characteristic and social inclusion groups. This will include collating themes and trends to make recommendations to service providers.
The successful candidate will also lead a capacity building programme to ensure that staff and partners are applying and using equality analysis tools appropriately and with impact. This will include working with very senior managers and board members to develop governance and assurance processes that show compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty and facilitating system wide forums to develop best practice.
As an NHS employer, Sussex NHS Commissioners offer a national pay scheme, access to training and personal development plans, an excellent pension and staff benefits. We are actively committed to the NHS Values and regularly engage with our staff to improve the working environment.
We operate an Agile Working policy. This means staff are supported to work at a time and location that supports them and their teams to work effectively whilst improving work life balance and greater flexibility.
Candidates will therefore be required to work at home and be able to work from one of our office bases in Sussex in agreement with their Manager and wider team.
