FRow Friends Befriending is a community group based in Forest Row, East Sussex created to encourage the forming of new friendships, addressing isolation and loneliness by nurturing connections. We offer free befriending services with outings around Forest Row and have been delivering a monthly newsletter/activity pack to isolated members during COVID-19. Our services are delivered by a highly skilled and motivated team.
We would love to work with an organised and methodical person that will play a supportive role to the committee (of which the treasurer is a member), ensuring financial processes are maintained and developed and assisting the committee to have a clear understanding of the financial status of the organisation. In addition the treasurer will apply for and manage grants.
The treasurer will have to attend committee meetings at least four times a year, reporting to the committee on the current financial position, including grants.
The treasurer role is vital to the running of our committee. Without this role we are struggling to continue our work so this is an opportunity for you to make a real difference in a well-respected local organisation.
We encourage applications from all sections of the community as we aim to increase the diversity of our committee. As an organisation we value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination wherever we find it.
