Eastbourne Borough Council recognises and supports the immensely valuable contribution which is made by voluntary groups and organisations across Eastbourne in a variety of fields. The Council provides a range of grants to support voluntary activity in the town.
Lewes District Council recognises and highly values the significant contributions that the community and voluntary sector play in delivering services to our residents. The Council offers grant funding to a small number of organisations which provide essential services to our residents, particularly looking to help those organisations help residents experiencing hardship or disadvantage. Also those which play a key role providing infrastructure services to enable and support a thriving community and voluntary sector in the District.
Wealden District Council’s Grants Programme opens to Community and Voluntary Organisations during September/October for applications by the end of November. Decisions are made in March the following year and the money has to be spent during the financial year which commences on 1 April.
Crowborough Town Council welcomes and values the work of local voluntary groups and organisations. The Council has a policy for making grants to groups and organisations which contribute to the welfare of the community by improving or supporting activities and/or facilities. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a clear need for financial support. Deadlines for submission are included in the Grant Awarding Policy document.
Hailsham Town Council awards grants to a wide range of community and voluntary groups (attended by Hailsham residents) that aim to introduce new or improved facilities, activities or projects, for the benefit of the town.
Hartfield Parish Council will award grants to organisations that benefit residents of the Parish. Any award can be used for both purchasing capital assets, or running costs associated with an organisation or both (if applying for running costs the amount applied for cannot represent more that 50% of an organisation’s running costs). It can be used for existing projects or new ideas.
Lewes Town Council offers grants of up to £2,000 to qualifying organisations that help promote a vibrant and active local community. The Council recognises and supports the valuable contribution made by many voluntary groups and organizations (often very small) in the fields of arts; sport; culture; social care; services for children and young adults; services for the elderly and people with disabilities; and many others who contribute to the well being of the local community. Applications can be made for help towards a special project, or the everyday running costs of your organization.
Maresfield Parish Council awards grants to applicants with a high component of parish bias (with regard to membership, activity or organisation) and also favours those applicants with a high component of voluntary involvement or charitable support.
Mayfield and Five Ashes Parish Council welcomes grant applications for individual grants up to a maximum of £500. Applicants must be match funded therefore applicants must cover at least 50% of the total project cost.
Newhaven Town Council has an annual small grant scheme the purpose of which is to award small sums of money usually up to £500 to voluntary groups working in Newhaven for the benefit of Newhaven people.
