What did your volunteers do?
Our volunteer drivers take time from their day to day lives to help provide safe and reliable transport to those who live in the Havens area.
Our drivers take those who are unable to travel via other means to their medical appointments, including their COVID-19 vaccinations. By volunteering their time, they are reducing social isolation and loneliness by enabling individuals to live independently and connect with their community.
How did your volunteers make a difference?
Our volunteer drivers make a difference to our community every single day by enabling individuals to continue living their life independently while also reducing social isolation and loneliness.
They provide transport to those who are unable to use other forms of transport due to poor health, mobility issues, or geographical remoteness. Our volunteers go above and beyond for the people they drive, providing emotional support and company when our members have gone for the vaccinations to relieve some of their anxiety.
