Tracey and Nicola’s story

What did your volunteers do?

The WayfinderWoman Trust, is run by women for women. We help those who are feeling anxious and uncertain about themselves or their future. We build their self-confidence and skills so that they are then able to challenge any barriers that face them in finding a better life. We have a free drop in centre, together with online or a phone chat always available and offering free help.

We also run workshops and courses which are open to all, in the last year these have been online, most are free. On World Women’s Day we held a morning’s online conference with eight inspiring speakers from across the globe. In the summer we are publishing a book written by women of their experiences during lockdown and have raised over £2,800 to finance this.

Yes, there is much fundraising and much happy socialising too.

How did your volunteers make a difference?

Over the last 10 years since WayfinderWoman Trust started we have helped over 900 women. Many have kept in touch and some have become our volunteers. Read about some of these women and how WayfinderWoman has helped them on our website.
